Jj is for Jaguar Match the Room | Letter Sound Activity

Combine movement, visual matching and early letter-sound awareness with a Jj is for Jaguar Match the Room activity.

The printable set includes 10 US Letter-sized posters to display around the learning space and 10 corresponding matching cards. Children move between the posters and match each card to its visual partner, supporting observation, visual discrimination, concentration and gross-motor engagement while reinforcing the Jj/jaguar letter association.

For reusable classroom work, the matching cards can be attached to the posters with hook-and-loop dots after printing and laminating. The reaching movement also supports the core strength used later for handwriting.

Use the activity for preschool phonics, beginning letter sounds, literacy centres, Montessori-inspired language shelves or a South America-themed learning unit.
