Each exercise presents real photographic images alongside two similar CVC word choices, encouraging the learner to sound out both options, discriminate the correct vowel or consonant and circle the word that matches the picture. HOW TO USE

Present the sheets after a child has begun decoding CVC words. Ask them to name the real image, blend the sounds of each candidate word and circle the matching word. Laminate or place pages in transparent sleeves to repeat the work using dry-erase markers.
