Welcome spring through sixteen paintings by twelve artists. Blossoming landscapes, returning colour and the changing season become invitations to investigate fine art through hands-on matching, close observation, puzzles and conversation.

• Corresponding magnified 'I Spy' detail-circle cards.
• Larger selected paintings that can be cut into three-piece puzzles, with full-image control art cards.
• Let's Talk About Art discussion prompts and presentation instructions.
• Suggestions for duplicate-art matching and optional colour matching with separate colour tiles.
HOW TO USE
Start by presenting a few artworks and naming what the child notices. Match enlarged details to the complete pictures, or print another copy of the art cards for picture-to-picture matching. Cut the larger puzzle reproductions into three sections, invite children to put them in order, and check against the complete painting. Ask where spring colours appear, compare scenes and discuss how artists represent the arrival of warmer weather.
SKILLS & LEARNING
Visual discrimination, whole–part relationships, visual memory, sequencing and perceptual organization, art vocabulary and discussion.
PRINTING & PREPARATION
