HOW TO USE

• Present just one new consonant blend with a few matching puzzles; keep the remaining puzzles out of view until the child is confident.

• Separate the larger consonant-blend base pieces from the remaining letter pieces, then invite the child to match the picture fragments and complete each word.

• Trace and vocalize each letter, say the combined beginning blend, and then blend through the complete word (for example f–r–o–g, frog).

• Invite the child to check the picture alignment independently and gradually increase the blend combinations offered.
