Tanigami Kônan Art Cards | 10 Floral Woodblock Prints

Bring Japanese botanical art into your art appreciation shelf with ten floral woodblock prints by Tanigami Kônan. The graceful flowers and botanical compositions encourage children to look carefully at petal shapes, colours, leaves and differences between flowers.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

• 10 floral artwork cards featuring Tanigami Kônan's woodblock prints.

• 10 magnified 'I Spy' detail-circle cards that correspond to the full works.

• Brief printed guidance for using the detail-matching activity.

HOW TO USE

Lay out a handful of prints and explore different blossoms, including daffodils, irises and fuchsias. Choose an enlarged detail circle, examine the colour and shape, and locate its matching place on an art card. Encourage children to compare flower shapes and describe what makes one work distinct from another. Gradually expand to the complete collection. This set also complements the separately sold Skip Counting with Kônan puzzles.
