Winter Fun Art Cards | 30 Paintings & Activity Sorting

US$5.00Price

Discover winter through thirty paintings by twenty-two artists. Snowy landscapes and lively scenes of seasonal recreation become opportunities for children to sort activities, notice fine details, assemble simple art puzzles and compare how artists use colour to portray winter.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

• 30 winter-themed artwork cards by 22 different artists.

• Corresponding magnified artwork-detail circles for 'I Spy' matching.

• Winter-activity sorting labels covering skiing, ice skating, tobogganing/sledding, sleigh rides and playing in the snow.

• Larger painting pages for making three-piece puzzles.

• Let's Talk About Art prompts and presentation instructions for multiple activities, including optional colour matching.

HOW TO USE

Start with a handful of paintings and invite children to describe what people are doing. Match magnified details to full works, or print duplicate art cards for identical-image matching. Sort paintings into the five winter recreation groups; where a scene contains several activities, talk about its main subject. Turn larger artworks into three-piece puzzles to reinforce part-to-whole thinking and offer separate colour tablets to investigate the colours used in snow and winter skies. Use the discussion prompts to compare how different artists capture winter.
